House Warming: Cire Trudon Candles

June 13, 2016 Suzanne Warner

One of my latest obsessions in home decor is Cire Trudon candles. Cire Trudon is the oldest candle maker in the world, with over 370 years of experience making high quality candles. My favorite scent (shown here) is the Abd El Kader (Moroccan Mint Tea). It has a sweet, peppery scent-almost like basil-that is extremely addictive. I picked up one recently for my home at Grange Hall (also one of my favorite spots for lunch) after my daughter's graduation luncheon. The showroom is a must-stop shop for anyone looking for unique finds in home decor, apothecary, jewelry, and handbags, and the restaurant is to die for. It really is a true Dallas gem!

A Table Well Set

June 9, 2016 Suzanne Warner

Kerri Ellis Davis and Margretta Hill Wikert have done it again! Ellis Hill just opened the new location in Highland Park Village this month. The decor of the store is alone worth a visit. After purchasing all of my daughter’s graduation gifts and party invitations, I stumbled upon these gorgeous napkins. They are offered in many different colors and designs and I love to mix them.

Good First Impressions: Entryway Decor

The entryway to my home was inspired by Kelly Wearstler. I became interested in her work as I tried to think of an interesting way to make a mid century ranch home more updated. Not being a fan of the word transitional, and much more fancied in the world of Hollywood Regency, I poured through every photo of her work. I adore her whimsy, organic and somewhat masculine overtones, passion for geometrics and just chaotic creativity.

Fiore X7 - Floral Art Unleashed

June 2, 2016 Suzanne Warner

Fiore X7 is a new floral boutique owned and operated by a team of talented sisters and their daughters (7 of them- fiore is "flower' in Italian). Their arrangements are inspired by the art and fashion seen on their collective travels around the world, and include beautiful handmade accessories. This is THE place to go for unusual and exotic arrangements that maintain a very high level of sophistication. I have worked with them several times to create event-specific pieces at Stanley Korshak as well as everyday pieces for my home. Fiore X7 can truly provide beautiful, custom floral arrangements for a wide variety of occasions and venue sizes.

Enlightened Design: Arteriors

May 4, 2016 Suzanne Warner

Arteriors is one of my favorite places to shop. Mark Moussa does a fabulous job traveling the world to create interesting lighting and decorative accessories and furniture. I have especially enjoyed the pair of blown glass Miramar floor lamps with the black shades lined in a rich gold metallic.
