The entryway to my home was inspired by Kelly Wearstler. I became interested in her work as I tried to think of an interesting way to make a mid century ranch home more updated. Not being a fan of the word transitional, and much more fancied in the world of Hollywood Regency, I poured through every photo of her work. I adore her whimsy, organic and somewhat masculine overtones, passion for geometrics and just chaotic creativity. The marble flooring was hand-cut by Ann Sacks here in Dallas and I was able to custom select each type of marble and the colors from New Ravenna. Ann Sacks is located in the Dallas Design District, and you can click here for directions or to learn more about her showroom.
