Shoesday Tuesday!

June 21, 2016 Suzanne Warner

Bergdorf Goodman is having an incredible shoe sale. If you are a size 7.5 or 8, book your flight on Virgin right out of Love Field today! They have a fantastic selection of novelty designer shoes that can cross over from season to season. I bought a metallic pair of Jimmy Choo wedges that are very high- but super comfortable. They had all heel heights so something for every aspect of your travels. Cheers!

Not only can pocket doors be a space saver but they can also add privacy. Most importantly they are a way to add jewelry to your home.

ABC Cocina with Jean-Georges

June 16, 2016 Suzanne Warner

Last week I went to NYC for a quick meeting, and had the most delicious dinner I have had in a long time. I am a native Dallasite, so saying that the guacamole here was the best in the world is bold.

Surgeon's Cuffs- For the Well Dressed Man

June 16, 2016 Suzanne Warner

The sign of a well dressed man is the wearer’s attention to detail. When a man cares enough to be mindful of the finer details of dressing, he will insist on surgeon’s cuffs on his suit jackets. Savile Row was inhabited largely by surgeons before the tailors moved in during the 19th century, and their influence can be seen in the “surgeon’s cuff”. On the most expensive suits the cuff buttons, which mirror the pips of military rank, can be undone, allowing the sleeve to be rolled back.

House Warming: Cire Trudon Candles

June 13, 2016 Suzanne Warner

One of my latest obsessions in home decor is Cire Trudon candles. Cire Trudon is the oldest candle maker in the world, with over 370 years of experience making high quality candles. My favorite scent (shown here) is the Abd El Kader (Moroccan Mint Tea). It has a sweet, peppery scent-almost like basil-that is extremely addictive. I picked up one recently for my home at Grange Hall (also one of my favorite spots for lunch) after my daughter's graduation luncheon. The showroom is a must-stop shop for anyone looking for unique finds in home decor, apothecary, jewelry, and handbags, and the restaurant is to die for. It really is a true Dallas gem!

A Table Well Set

June 9, 2016 Suzanne Warner

Kerri Ellis Davis and Margretta Hill Wikert have done it again! Ellis Hill just opened the new location in Highland Park Village this month. The decor of the store is alone worth a visit. After purchasing all of my daughter’s graduation gifts and party invitations, I stumbled upon these gorgeous napkins. They are offered in many different colors and designs and I love to mix them.

Good First Impressions: Entryway Decor

June 8, 2016 Suzanne Warner

The entryway to my home was inspired by Kelly Wearstler. I became interested in her work as I tried to think of an interesting way to make a mid century ranch home more updated. Not being a fan of the word transitional, and much more fancied in the world of Hollywood Regency, I poured through every photo of her work. I adore her whimsy, organic and somewhat masculine overtones, passion for geometrics and just chaotic creativity.

Vera Wang forever changed the world of bridal fashion when she opened her first flagship salon in 1990 in NYC. Now we have a plethora of couture choices. This is my favorite gown of the season and it is designed and made by Ines Di Santo. It is ethereal and light, delicate and detailed yet sexy, a stunning gown.
