All week I have been thinking about how I need to buy some rose for my trip to the beach. And then I got the perfect email! It is the rose variety pack of 2015 wines for only $199.99.
Pogo’s Wine and Spirits is my go to place for fine wines and liquor. Not only do they have the obscure specialty premium wines and liquor, but I love to go in and visit with the staff. They do business the old fashioned way- a hug, a handshake, and a deep knowledge of their fine product. It is rare that I go in and don’t see the owner and founder, Harris Polakoff. He is in his store meeting and greeting clients and doing a fine job of advising them of the finest of vintages and delivering cases weekly to their wine cellars.
Harris comes from a long line of entrepreneurs specializing in luxury libations. His great-grandfather opened Dallas’ first liquor store, Sigel’s, on Elm Street the day after Prohibition was repealed. When they sold, the Dallas native decided to open Pogo’s Wine & Spirits with a partner and created an independent neighborhood retailer specializing in wine, liquor, cordials and spirits. I am a customer for life!
