I recently discovered Glass Vodka and it has quickly become a staple for creating delicious vodka cocktails. This premium vodka is distilled from grapes, which gives it an incredibly smooth, slightly sweet flavor. Its unique bottle design also makes it a great vodka to entertain with or to give as a housewarming gift.
A little backstory on Glass:
Glass Distillery is based in Seattle, using grapes that are sourced from the premiere winemaking regions across Washington and Oregon. It was launched in 2012 by Ian MacNeil, whose goal was to create a vodka that was pure, smooth, and artfully crafted with a deep appreciation for the environment from which it was born.
We had a tasting at Stanley Korshak with Ian where he created a few signature Glass Vodka cocktails, including a Glass Martini and Glass Gimlet (click on links for recipes). I much prefer the vodka served neat (ice is fine but changes the flavor somewhat), sipped and maybe slightly mixed with a drop of 1988 Spanish Olive Juice (pictured below), which Ian also introduced me to. I highly recommend picking up a bottle of Glass Vodka for your next cocktail party!
